Repeatability: 2-4 treatments (at 8-week intervals)
Treatment Description:
Local fat reduction is a treatment for those seeking to slim the face or specific body areas. It is performed using the lipolysis technique, which involves injecting a chemical substance – phosphatidylcholine – under the skin. This substance penetrates the fat tissue, breaks down triglycerides, and leads to gradual reduction and natural elimination from the body. It is important to note that this treatment targets only selected areas that do not respond to diet and exercise, such as a double chin, “bat wings” on the arms, or fat around the knees. Lipolysis is not a substitute for weight loss through a healthy diet and exercise!
To achieve the desired effect, a series of 2 to 4 treatments is recommended. After the procedure, the skin is smooth, firm, and free of cellulite, which is an added benefit. The treatment is almost painless, non-invasive, and safe – the injected substance does not cause allergies or side effects. However, swelling may occur and lasts for about two days.
You can return to normal activities almost immediately after the procedure, and there is no need for bandages. A strong post-treatment massage and a light diet that does not burden the liver are recommended.
Contraindications for local fat reduction include obesity, pregnancy and breastfeeding, liver and kidney failure, and chronic infections.
